The Facilities Group (TFG), a portfolio company of Greenbriar Equity Group and Revolent Capital Solutions, announced today it has acquired United Service Companies (USC) in an expansion that accelerates the size, scope and standing of TFG as a national leader in the facilities maintenance industry.
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, USC has provided single-source facility operations, maintenance and specialized cleaning services across a wide range of industry sectors since 1965. Through its five subsidiaries – U.S. Aviation Service, United Maintenance, United National Maintenance, United Security and United Temps – USC operates 20 offices across the U.S., employing over 10,000 industry professionals.
Launched by founder and CEO Bryson Raver in 2020, TFG has rapidly emerged as the fastest-growing operating companies in the facilities industry. The addition of USC, the largest in a series of strategic acquisitions, represents expansion for Tampa-based TFG, taking annual revenues to more than $700 million[CB1] in less than four years and substantially increasing its capacity and value to customers across multiple industry verticals. The TFG family of companies now comprises 18 specialized brands, 47 regional offices and more than 13,000 employees servicing over 30,000 locations in all 50 states.
“Adding USC to the TFG brand portfolio is a landmark milestone in our growth strategy and supports the broader foundation for continued growth into the future,” said Raver. “This acquisition enhances TFG’s strengths, enhances operational synergies and efficiencies, while creating increased service density and supports opportunities for customers across a diverse expanse of industries.”
Known for its category expertise in specialized verticals such as aviation, commercial, healthcare, education and distribution facility environments, TFG now adds industry strength in new categories including hospitality and hotels, sports and entertainment venues, and tradeshows/conventions. USC also brings a concentration of capacity and partner relationships in the greater Chicago area and other key markets.
“By joining The Facilities Group, we’ve created one of the largest facilities maintenance companies in the industry,” said USC President and CEO Richard A. Simon. “We’re very happy for our employees, shareholders and customers to gain the competitive advantages of scale, a proven commitment to innovation through technology, and the benefits of a strong, shared culture with TFG that puts people first.”
The expansion of the TFG brand roster reinforces the company’s strategy to grow both organically and through acquisition in an effort to drive value to customers.
